Digital Imaging Project: APA is a centre of excellence that supports artists with intellectual disabilities, promoting their work and advocating for their inclusion within contemporary art practice. A pilot program, introducing digital imaging equipment and a specific art worker into the studio, was funded. The program was pitched at the younger artists in the studio and art works produced were included in an exhibition held in March 2012. The program was so successful and popular amongst the artists that it is to be extended to a four-day a week Digital Media Program in 2012, funded by APA. artsproject.org.au

Scholarships: The Cheshire School provides a specialised 12-month Intervention Program to assist children from Prep through to Grade 6, who have demonstrated significant social, emotional and behavioural problems in their mainstream schooling. In a supportive and caring environment, Cheshire helps children and families to identify the fundamental causes of a child’s issues and to overcome the disruptive behaviours that may have become part of everyday life. Medical Equipment: The Hamlin Fistula Relief and Aid Fund are committed to the treatment and care of women with obstetric fistula and to the prevention of the condition in Ethiopia. Funds were used to develop a structured program incorporating practical leadership skills, cultural perspectives and career paths, and to enable emerging leaders to develop to their full potential.

Straight Talk Conference Leadership Workshops: Part-funding was provided for 56 indigenous women to attend the Straight Talk Conference in Canberra in September 2011, to meet with Federal politicians. Pacific Islands Fracture Management Course: The Pacific Islands Fracture Management Course in Fiji aims to build expertise in orthopaedic care, mainly in the area of trauma (road and industrial). Breaking The Cycle Program, Therapeutic Children’s Groups: Mirabel is the only organisation in Australia working with children orphaned or abandoned due to parental illicit drug use.
